trying to finish my laundry, need help unclogging my washer. any assistance would be greatly appreciated?
I was recently doing laundry and noticed that my washer stopped and would not drain the water inside. How can I get it to start working again? or at least drain the remaining water inside the machine. This is all very new to me. Please help.
If it just stopped and won’t drain then your pump probably went out which means you will have to have it worked on or get a new washer. Mine did that. Take the clothes out and ring them as much as you can by hand. Hopefully it was on the rinse cycle so the soap is out. If there’s no soap then go ahead and dry them as usual. The water might slowly drain out on it’s own. Depending on the age of the washer, decide to either get that one fixed or get a new one. Mine was about 15 years old when my pump went out so I got a new one. If yours is only 2 or 3 years old then you might want to get it worked on. If it’s fairly new then it might still be under warranty.
Well, you get a garden hose and siphon it or bail it out with cup and bucket.
Most likely cause is that a sock is caught in the internal drain hose or something is caught in the pump.
Take off the panel and disconnect the hose from the drum. if you have a sock, you’ll see it. The little white pump may have an obstruction. Take the hose off and look.
Otherwise, it’s repair man time.
