I have a what they call a plumbers snake. It came from Aldi and cost £3.99. When it is uncoiled it is about 4 metres long and flexible. It cleaned out my drains when the council said they couldn't do it.

You can use a snake however unless familiar with using one you may go somewhere else in the pipes than where you want. The device mentioned before which attachs to a garden hose is a blow bag. Water pressure forces the clog to move on through the pipe.

go to a plumber's supply store since they are open to the public as well as professionals also any hardware mega store carries them as well (like lowe's or home depot) and buy an item called a Plumber's Snake it is a flexible wand that has a scrubber attatched to the main end that can be hooked to an air compressor to act like a drill and it will clean the pipe right out and it is 1 of the same tools Roto Rooter Sewer Repair service uses on a smaller basis

If you dont use a snake or similar then there are chemicals which can do the job or there are pressure pumps which blast the blockage away. Depends on type of pipe and diameter.

Sounds like you need to rent a motorized snake from your local rental business. These come in varying sizes depending on what type drain your wish to open up. Most rental places will advise you on your needs and on how to use the equipment. It is easy to do.

My son has a thing that he unclogged my kitchen sink and my bathtub drain with. I don't know what you call it; but it looks a lot like a nozzle that you hook on the end of a garden hose. And it goes on the end of a garden hose. Go to Lowes or Home Depot to the plumbing section and tell them what you need and what I'm discribing to you. They come in different sizes, maybe to fit what you're unclogging. But, I do know that it worked for me both times.

Have you thought of using a snake? It is a relatively inexpensive tool you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. It has a flexible cable three to four feet long with a z crank at one end.
